An Ascoli Theorem for Sequential Spaces
نویسنده
چکیده
Ascoli theorems characterize “precompact” subsets of the set of morphisms between two objects of a category in terms of “equicontinuity” and “pointwise precompactness,” with appropriate definitions of precompactness and equicontinuity in the studied category. An Ascoli theorem is presented for sets of continuous functions from a sequential space to a uniform space. In our development we make extensive use of the natural function space structure for sequential spaces induced by continuous convergence and define appropriate concepts of equicontinuity for sequential spaces. We apply our theorem in the context of C∗-algebras. 2000 Mathematics Subject Classification. 54A20, 54C35, 54E15.

On intermediate value theorem in ordered Banach spaces for noncompact and discontinuous mappings
In this paper, a vector version of the intermediate value theorem is established. The main theorem of this article can be considered as an improvement of the main results have been appeared in [textit{On fixed point theorems for monotone increasing vector valued mappings via scalarizing}, Positivity, 19 (2) (2015) 333-340] with containing the uniqueness, convergent of each iteration to the fixe...
متن کاملAn Asymmetric Arzelà-Ascoli Theorem
An Arzelà-Ascoli theorem for asymmetric metric spaces (sometimes called quasi-metric spaces) is proved. One genuinely asymmetric condition is introduced, and it is shown that several classic statements fail in the asymmetric context if this assumption is dropped.
متن کاملAn Operator Arzelà-ascoli Theorem
We generalize the Arzelà-Ascoli theorem to the setting of matrix order unit spaces, extending the work of Antonescu-Christensen on unital C∗algebras. This gives an affirmative answer to a question of Antonescu and Christensen.
متن کاملThe Kolmogorov–riesz Compactness Theorem
We show that the Arzelà–Ascoli theorem and Kolmogorov compactness theorem both are consequences of a simple lemma on compactness in metric spaces. Their relation to Helly’s theorem is discussed. The paper contains a detailed discussion on the historical background of the Kolmogorov compactness theorem.
متن کاملConstruction of measures of noncompactness of $C^k(Omega)$ and $C^k_0$ and their application to functional integral-differential equations
In this paper, first, we investigate the construction of compact sets of $ C^k$ and $ C_0^k$ by proving ``$C^k, C_0^k-version$" of Arzel`{a}-Ascoli theorem, and then introduce new measures of noncompactness on these spaces. Finally, as an application, we study the existence of entire solutions for a class of the functional integral-differential equations by using Darbo's fixe...
